GOOSE HUNTING IN MOSES LAKE
This was my first year duck and goose hunting.  My husband is so funny because he knew if he introduced me to hunting and I loved it he could do it more.  I had no idea what the attraction was and soon learned it wasn't all about the hunt.  Certainly that is part of it but more than that the fellowship with his friends during these days is really something.  They laugh, tease each other and talk about all kinds of things.  It was fun just to hang out with all of them and they are hilarious!

The blinds on the left is where you spend your entire day.  We get up at 4 in the morning so we can be set up before daylight.  They are actually really comfortable and power napping is acceptable and possible.  It's a group effort when birds are flying over and there's lots of waiting and watching.  I have a hard time not popping my head out and being a looky loo but I'm learning.

Watching hundreds of geese fly over our blinds so low that you can hear their wings grind when they flap was amazing.  I can't describe in words the excitement of watching nature and wondering what these birds are thinking.  Until next October, I can't wait!

To Fish? or Not to Fish?  Silly Question!

I love to Fish!  I may not be very good at it but I can be out on the water all day and never get bored.  Joe says I need to take the free worm sign off my line but I just get a little too excited during a bite.

This day was a great day!!!  Fishing in Moses Lake, WA I caught this very lovely 6 lb 4 oz Large Mouth Bass and she was a beauty.  I Let her go in the hopes that I could catch her again next year.

It was very kind of her to like my lure, stay on my hook and allow me to enjoy the pleasure of catching her, kissing her (yes, gotta kiss them) and watch her swim away.

Until next time my dear friend!

About Cindy

Hi, My name is Cindy Carpenter and I love Golf and More!

I am currently a Independent Teaching Professional working with The Links at Moses Pointe in Moses Lake, Washington.  I have been in the golf business for over 25 years and my passion and love for the game of golf has lead me to a successful teaching business.  I started golfing in my early 20's and after deciding I had a nack for the game I got my first job at Mt Si Golf Course in Snoqualmie, Washington. Mt Si is a great golf course run by some of the best people I know.  Mt Si's Junior Golf Program is top notch.  I loved the people and the area in North Bend but I soon relocated from Snoqualmie to Moses Lake.  I started working at The Links at Moses Pointe when they opened in 1999 and stayed until 2006 when I left to join the staff at  Moses Lake Golf and Country Club as their Assistant Professional and Director of Marketing.  In 2009 I decided to go back to my original home at Moses Pointe Golf Course and continue with my passion for teaching.  Success takes many turns and the journey is the adventure.

The Links at Moses Pointe is extremely excited about the continued development of golf programs for women and juniors along with their already popular resort golf.  Moses Pointe has always been very challenging for the experienced player but player friendly for the women golfers and juniors alike.  I'm thrilled to be part of their teaching staff helping them to promote programs for all golfers.

I am married to an incredible husband who is my best friend and has taught me so much about enjoying the outdoors, beyond golf.  I have 4 great children, 3 amazing sons and 1 incredible daughter.  My husband Joe has 3 great kids and we have a great and loving blended family.  My second oldest son and my daughter are both in the Military and I'm very proud and thank them for their service.  Thank you to all you other mom's who's babies are being so brave for our country. (Well they're not really babies anymore but to us military moms they'll always be our babies)

Please enjoy my site and I hope you learn something new and exciting about golf for men, women, juniors and families and even something else about living life  to the fullest. Like Harvey Penick says, "And If You Play Golf, You're My Friend".
